Gem Stone/Fossil Mining, purchase separately ($5.00 per bag)
Give your students a hands-on-experience of mining for real gem stones just like the miners did during the early days when they mined for gold and minerals. Students can see a demonstration and hear about Old West Mining and the need for sluicing. Students can also pick a pumpkin from the patch as well as get all-inclusive access to the Arkansas Frontier facilities including guided tours of the old fashioned school house, and pioneer living quarters. A hay ride and much, much more are also included in the tour.
